I am an artist/teacher with 23 years experience of managing the art curriculum and related art projects from Foundation Stage to upper Key Stage 2.  I love to engage children in their own creativity, motivating them through first hand experience to enjoy the process of designing and making and to explore the natural qualities of the material they are working with. My work in schools ranges from creating murals/panels to designing and making 3D images that reflect their own experience of the world and of themselves. I employ a range of different skills: printing, drawing, painting, and decorating, to give the children a broad experience of the medium. All of my projects have strong cross-curricular links with the main focus being on enjoyment and the growth of confidence and self esteem.

I am registered with Cumbria Arts In Education and am available to work as an artist in educational settings. I am also available to do workshops and demonstrations.
